Founded in 1999, by Martin Wolfson, Texas Pocket Springs (TPS) has become renowned for its expertise in manufacturing and supplying pocket coil units for mattresses and upholstered furniture, along with machinery for encased coil production. While historically focusing on machinery, TPS underwent significant expansion in 2022, establishing its coiling operation and constructing a new factory to meet the growing demands of the market.

In early 2020, TPS expanded its reach by launching The Pocket Coil Store, an e-commerce platform dedicated to promoting pocket coil units and coiling machines. This expansion diversified TPS’s offerings and catered to customers interested in crafting their DIY mattresses, providing them with access to high-quality pocket springs.

History in the Making

In 1996, laying the groundwork for what would become Texas Pocket Springs (TPS), Martin Wolfson and Walter Stumph, alongside Siddall and Hilton, established Sidhil Tech. This partnership was driven by a shared vision to revolutionize pocket spring units for mattresses and furniture, with an unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and product enhancement from the very start.

In 1998, under the banner of Sidhil Tech, a groundbreaking pocket spring machine coiler was developed, introducing the innovative center seam design. This design revolutionized the manufacturing process by eliminating the need to turn the coil in its pocket. When TPS officially came into being in 1999, this machine underwent reengineering to produce QuadCoil pocket spring modules, utilizing ultrasonic fusion for consistent feel and unit stability. This not only streamlined production but also eliminated the use of glues thus reducing the weight of the units, and shipping costs

Manufacturing Excellence

TPS’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its new 75,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located at the Keene Industrial Park in Alvarado, Texas. This state-of-the-art facility enables the production of an impressive 36,000 units per week, showcasing their dedication to efficiency and scale.
