Golden Dreams Mattress was founded by Nate Cangemi, an industry expert with over 20 years of experience in mattress components and natural materials like latex. Having worked with leading manufacturers such as Carpenter and FXI and consulting for both Dunlop and Talalay suppliers, Nate brings deep technical expertise, down to the specs of foam densities and mattress construction. As a Certified Sleep Science Coach, he also helps clients build lasting sleep wellness strategies.
Based in Carlsbad, CA, Golden Dreams redefines mattress shipping as a luxury, by-appointment-only experience. The store is designed for comfort and calm, featuring curated bedroom-style displays, low lighting, massage chairs, and a full bar. Guests are welcomed into an immersive, pressure-free environment where every step is guided, not sold.
The store’s curated collection includes premium & Luxury brands like Posh Lavish, Heirloom, TechnoGel, Avocado, Helix, and Custom Comfort. Nate only stocks sleep systems that meet his transparency standards and exact specifications – often ones he’s supplied components himself. In addition to mattresses, the store offers pillows, Dream Fit bamboo sheets, adjustable bases, and full white-glove delivery—all included.
