Suite Sleep is a boutique organic luxury bedding manufacturer founded in 2003 by Angela Owen in Boulder, Colorado. The company has been in the bedding industry for over 20 years, and Angela herself has been in the industry for over 25 years.

Suite Sleep began as a wholesale and distribution business but has evolved into a mattress and bedding manufacturer that is committed to being a change-maker in sustainable mattresses. They are dedicated to using sustainable and natural materials, with a focus on domestic supply chains.

Here’s what makes Suite Sleep unique:

High-Quality Materials:  Suite Sleep uses high-quality, organic materials including latex, local wool from Colorado, and organic cotton. They emphasize using materials that are closer to home. They also use domestic wool and source materials from women-owned facilities whenever possible.

Direct Customer Interaction:  Angela often speaks with customers directly before they purchase, to answer questions and ensure they get the right mattress. Their return rate is very low.

Commitment to Transparency:  Suite Sleep was one of the first companies to participate in the Specialty Sleep Association’s BEDFAX program, which provides consumers with detailed information about the contents of their mattresses. They are committed to full transparency and educating consumers.

No Inner Spring Mattresses:  Suite Sleep does not carry innerspring mattresses due to the EMF issues signaled by customer concerns, and focuses on latex mattresses.

Product Innovation:  Suite Sleep focuses on product innovation and unique features to give customers the best possible sleep. They offer customizable designs. Their product line includes mattresses, toppers, pillows, and comforters.

Pioneering Zippered Covers:  Suite Sleep was one of the very first stores to bring the zippered cover concept from Europe in 2001. This design allows for the customization of mattress layers to adjust the comfort level, and the company has always been of the mind that they can “make it right” for their customers.

Focus on Comfort & Customization:  Suite Sleep prioritizes the customer experience by providing options for comfort and support. They offer a comfort exchange and replacement process to ensure customers are not stuck with a mattress that is not right for them.

Hospitality Program:  Suite Sleep has a robust hospitality program and supplies mattresses to about 25 hotels, with more in development. This allows customers to experience the mattresses for one or more nights before purchasing them. This reduces returns because people know what they are buying.

Flexibility and Nimbleness:  Unlike some of its competitors, Suite Sleep does not impose strict minimums or floor model requirements on its distributors. They allow their partners to “pick and choose” from their product lines. They strive to be easy and flexible in their business dealings.
